Job Purpose: As Senior Manager “Head of” Design, you’ll own our design system, drive the creative vision, and oversee everything from social graphics and motion assets to key visuals, OOH, merch, broadcast packs, and event branding. This role blends hands-on design excellence with team leadership, fast-paced production, and cross-channel creative direction - shaping how millions of fans experience our brand worldwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the creative direction and visual execution for all fan-facing design across EWC Foundation, EWC and ENC.
Turn campaign strategies into bold, effective visuals that resonate with global esports and gaming audiences.
Own the full design system — brand guidelines, templates, component libraries, and multi-format standards.
Oversee design output across social, key visuals, motion graphics, stage screens, digital banners, thumbnails, merch, and on-site event branding.
Oversee visual application across all asset types — including posters, OOH, broadcast graphics packages, arena signage, merch design, partner assets, and branded physical environments.
Ensure the design system scales across digital, physical, event, and broadcast environments.
Manage and mentor a team of designers, setting clear quality and delivery standards.
Ensure brand consistency and visual excellence across all channels and touchpoints.
Partner with Fan Marketing, Content, Media Production, Brand, and Product teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
Direct external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners to ensure alignment and quality.
Improve creative workflows and production pipelines for speed, consistency, and scale.
Approve major assets and key visuals before release.
Monitor asset performance (CTR, engagement, retention) and optimize creative approaches.
Bring fresh visual inspiration from gaming, design, culture, and esports to keep our output distinctive and modern.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, visual communication, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in creative direction, graphic design, or content creation within gaming, esports, or entertainment industries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience leading creative teams and managing visual campaigns for global audiences.
Strong portfolio showcasing brand campaigns, social content, and digital design projects.
Deep understanding of digital platforms, design trends, and fan engagement in gaming culture.
Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to give constructive feedback and inspire creative excellence.
Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or creative vendors.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
